Our Mission Statement
It is the express mission of the Kettle Falls Community Chest to provide its clients with food and other resources without prejudice, and with the intent of keeping the dignity of those clients intact.
Description of Program
The Kettle Falls Community Chest is a food bank and attached Thrift Store. The food bank distributes food to residents across 8 zip codes at our location.
The Thrift Store accepts donated household items that are available to the general public as well as the clients of the food bank. There are no fixed prices; the goods are ‘sold’ for a suggested donation amount. The store provides on the job training for a program designed to get those on government assistance bank into the work force. It provides a discount shopping area for our clients and provides the food bank with additional income.
